Playbook Community Standards

1. What Playbook Is For
Playbook is a place to publish, preserve, collect, and discover art, culture, ideas, and remarkable works from across the world.
These Standards apply to work, images, profiles, account activity, reports, and other conduct on Playbook.
Playbook is not meant to remove difficult, provocative, historical, or challenging material simply because it is uncomfortable. Art, archives, journalism, history, and documentation can contain subjects that need context.
What matters is how the material is being used on Playbook.
2. Publishing Eligibility and Rights
Submissions must comply with Playbook's content eligibility policy. Do not misrepresent how a work was created.
You must also have the right to publish what you upload. Copyright and other rights issues are covered in Playbook's Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy.
3. Sexual Content and Child Safety
Playbook can contain nudity or mature material when it has a genuine artistic, historical, documentary, educational, anatomical, or cultural purpose.
Pornography, sexual exploitation, non-consensual sexual imagery, and material posted mainly for sexual gratification are not allowed.
Playbook has zero tolerance for child sexual exploitation or abuse. Do not upload, request, promote, distribute, link to, or facilitate sexual material involving the exploitation or abuse of anyone under 18.
Artistic or historical context does not excuse child sexual exploitation material.
4. Hate, Harassment, and Threats
Do not use Playbook to threaten, harass, stalk, dehumanize, or encourage violence against another person or group.
Do not promote hatred or violence against people because of race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability, or another protected characteristic.
Historical, archival, documentary, journalistic, educational, or artistic material may contain hateful or extremist imagery without promoting it. Context matters.
Criticism, disagreement, and discussion of public creative work are not automatically harassment.
5. Violence and Dangerous Activity
Violence may appear in art, film, photography, historical records, and documentary work.
Playbook may remove content that celebrates serious violence, contains credible threats, encourages dangerous acts, or helps people carry out serious harmful or illegal activity.
Documenting violence, crime, weapons, conflict, or other difficult subjects is different from encouraging or facilitating harm.
6. Privacy, Impersonation, and Misleading Information
Do not publish another person's private or sensitive information in a way that creates a real privacy or safety risk.
Do not dox, stalk, or expose someone to harm.
Do not impersonate a person, artist, creator, organization, museum, gallery, estate, or rights holder in a deceptive way.
Playbook is an archive, so basic accuracy matters. Do not knowingly make false claims about who created a work, its origin, year, ownership, provenance, or how it was created.
Good-faith mistakes are different from deliberate deception and can be corrected.
7. Spam, Scams, and Archive Relevance
Do not use Playbook for spam, scams, phishing, fraudulent promotion, fake engagement, malicious links, or attempts to manipulate Playbook's recommendation or reporting systems.
Submissions should have a genuine connection to the creative and cultural archive.
Playbook may reject material that is mainly spam, unrelated advertising, repetitive promotion, meaningless uploads, or content submitted only to manipulate visibility.
Unusual or unconventional work is not a violation simply because it is unfamiliar.
8. Reports, Blocking, and Moderation
Users can report published work they reasonably believe breaks Playbook's rules.
A report does not automatically remove a work. Playbook reviews reports and decides whether the work stays or is removed.
Users may also block other creators. Do not use alternate accounts or other methods to deliberately evade another person's block.
Playbook uses automated moderation for some submissions and may send uncertain cases to human review. Automated systems can make mistakes, so a technical signal is not treated as proof of intentional wrongdoing by itself.

9. Enforcement
Depending on the issue, Playbook may:
- reject or remove content;
- limit publishing;
- restrict an account;
- suspend an account;
- terminate an account.
Serious abuse may lead to immediate action. Repeated violations may lead to stronger action.
Playbook may also preserve information needed to review a report, document an enforcement decision, prevent abuse, or meet a legal obligation.
10. Updates and Contact
These Standards may be updated as Playbook develops.
