What is Playbook?
Playbook is a platform for publishing, preserving, collecting, and discovering human-made creative and cultural work.
It is designed as an artist's archive: a place to document works, objects, stories, makers, provenance, and cultural context.
Who can use Playbook?
You must be at least 16 years old to create or use a Playbook account, subject to any additional requirements under applicable law.

What can I publish?
Playbook is built for human-made creative and cultural work.
Submissions may include works and artifacts across areas such as photography, music, film, architecture, design, technology, automobiles, timepieces, print, interactive media, and other cultural categories supported by the Service.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions necessary to upload and publish material.
Does Playbook allow AI-generated content?
Playbook's publishing standard is human-made.
Generative or synthetic creative content prohibited by the current Human-Made Standard may not be submitted as eligible human-made work.
Ordinary non-generative tools, editing, restoration, formatting, accessibility tools, and other workflows are evaluated according to what they actually do rather than simply whether they are marketed as "AI."
What happens if legitimate work is incorrectly flagged?
Automated moderation can make mistakes.
Where appropriate, Playbook may use human review and may allow a creator to request reconsideration of a moderation decision.

Who owns the work I upload?
You retain the intellectual-property rights that you already hold in your User Content.
Uploading material to Playbook does not transfer ownership of your work to Playbook.
The limited licence described in the Terms of Use allows Playbook to host, display, process, moderate, secure, and operate the Service.
Does Playbook use uploaded work to train generative AI?
The current Terms state that the licence granted to Playbook does not authorize Playbook to use User Content to train generative AI models or to sell User Content as generative-AI training data.

What if I am documenting somebody else's work?
The person contributing an item to the archive and the original creator may be different people.
Documenting or discussing another person's work does not automatically give you permission to upload copyrighted images or other protected material.
You remain responsible for having the rights or legal basis required for your submission.
How does Playbook handle copyright and intellectual-property complaints?
Rights holders and authorized representatives may submit a complaint under the Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy.
Contact hello@playbook.cam with the subject Intellectual Property Complaint and provide enough information to identify the right involved and the specific Playbook content at issue.
How does Playbook protect its own brand?
Playbook's name, logos, original software code, interface artwork, written materials, and other original platform materials may be protected by applicable intellectual-property and unfair-competition laws.
The Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy explains Playbook's brand and platform-integrity position, including impersonation, confusingly similar branding, deceptive affiliation, and unauthorized commercial exploitation.
Can I report content or a creator?
Yes.
Where available, use Playbook's in-app reporting tools when you reasonably believe content or conduct violates Playbook's rules.
Playbook may independently review reports and determine the appropriate action.
Can I block another creator?
Playbook provides blocking tools intended to reduce unwanted visibility and interaction between affected accounts.
The exact effects of blocking may vary by feature as the Service evolves.
How do recommendations work?
Playbook may use automated systems to organize and recommend published content.
Signals may include interaction with works and creators, categories, recency, relevance, diversity, and other product-quality signals.
No creator is guaranteed a particular ranking, audience size, number of impressions, or placement.
How do I delete my account?
Playbook accounts can be permanently deleted from within the Playbook app.
An external pathway is also available for users who cannot access the app.

What happens to my data when I delete my account?
Account deletion is intended to remove your account identity and associated account content from active Playbook systems, subject to limited retention where permitted or required for matters such as security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, moderation records, disputes, and backups.
